We’re excited to make these features free for all players. In addition to the free rewards on the Battlegrounds Track, the base emotes, advanced stats, and hero early access that were previously purchased through Battlegrounds Perks will now be available to all Battlegrounds players. The level 3 reward is free to all players, while the other rewards shown are unlocked through the Season Pass.īy giving Battlegrounds players their own rewards track, we can give them more rewards they care about, and we no longer need to try to mesh Battlegrounds rewards with a Gold and XP system that was designed to serve traditional Hearthstone.īattlegrounds will remain a free-to-play mode, with more free rewards than ever before. Those Battlegrounds-specific rewards include new Battlegrounds Emotes, Hero Skins, Strikes, and more! Like the current Hearthstone-wide Rewards Track, there will be both free and premium unlockable rewards along the Battlegrounds Track, and progress towards those rewards is earned by playing. With that in mind, Patch 24.2, launching on August 30, will bring some of the most significant changes to Battlegrounds we’ve ever seen! For many players, Battlegrounds has become their main way to play Hearthstone, and we’re excited to further support and grow the mode for all Battlegrounds players. In total, 5 minions will be removed from the minion pool with Patch 23.2, to be replaced with 16 new Naga minions, 5 other new minions, and 2 returning favorites! More Naga will be revealed over the coming days, along with Developer Insights and other tidbits. That includes Spellcraft spells as well as things like Coins, Blood Gems, and triple rewards. Some Naga care about when you play spells.Golden Spellcraft minions will generate Golden versions of the Spellcraft spells, with double the effect.If your hand is full, Spellcraft spells will "wait" until there is a free space in your hand, instead of getting destroyed or being delayed a turn.Spellcraft spells are generated as soon as you play the Spellcraft minion, and at the start of each Recruit phase.Spellcraft spells leave your hand at the end of your turn-if you don't use them, you lose them!.That means that each turn you get to choose where you put your spells for the next Combat. Spellcraft effects only last until your next Recruit phase.Each Spellcraft minion generates a Spellcraft spell every turn.

We have a couple of snippets of info about the season below and you can read the full details here, as the new season will launch on May 10th, 2022. And there will be some new mechanics thrown into the mix that have yet to be revealed. "Spellcraft" will become a new keyword for a temp spell each turn, which will give you some advantages but also might leave you open a bit. This season will come with the standard Battlegrounds Rating reset, a new Hero added to the mix, and a brand new minion type to fight with in The Naga. Blizzard Entertainment revealed the next season for Hearthstone Battlegrounds is on the way next week as we'll see the Rise Of The Naga.
